The Oxygen Therapy Company is a result of an amalgamation of businesses and specialists in the provision of a contracted Oxygen Therapy service, utilising well developed equipment for patients with respiratory problems.
The needs of patients with respiratory problems are increasing as the acceptance of oxygen as a first line treatment becomes more common. The methods of administering Oxygen to the Domiciliary patient in the UK improved in 1985 with the introduction of the Oxygen Concentrator. Concentrators increased life expectancy and improved quality of life. Earlier diagnosis has meant that patients who, but for respiratory problems, could continue working normally now seek portability of treatment. This can be best achieved using Portable Liquid Oxygen. Such patients will demand the strong, reliable support experienced by the concentrator patient.
This has created the need for a new type of company capable of providing a Total Oxygen Service, with staff knowledgeable in all methods of oxygen administration and the necessray equipment to provide it. OTC was born out of this need and is able to meet in full the stringent requirements of both the National Health Service and the Private Sector. It has the expertise and resources to administer all forms of Oxygen Therapy (i.e. by cylinder, concentrator or liquid portable systems) and a full range of Nebulisation and Sleep Apnoea equipment.
